In a concert of Russian music, West Bend High School Chamber Orchestra students played side by side with KMS musicians on Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op.48 in February 2019.

The whole family was entertained by music they know well, from John Williams’ scores for the Star Wars movies. Then, adults were mesmerized by Scheherazade and her Tales of 1000 Nights.
Orchestra students from West Bend’s Badger and Silverbrook middle schools entertained audience members in the lobby prior to the concert.

Judge Andrew Gonring narrated Copland’s Lincoln Portrait and Turrin’s Civil War Suite. Milwaukee Symphony cellist, Madeleine Kabat, performed Elgar’s WWII-influenced Cello Concerto in E minor, and guest principal violinist, Elizabeth Zempel, soloed on Three Pieces from Schindler’s List. American Legion Post 486 served as Color Guard.
